Create your own knife
Creating both a knife and a sheath with simple utensils over three days requires some planning but is absolutely possible. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you: Day 1: Plan and Prepare Materials *Material for the knife: * *Blade: * An old file, saw blade, or other carbon steel. *Handle: * Wood, horn, or hard plastic. *Fastening: * Epoxy glue or rivets (metal pins). *Material for vagina: * *Leather: * An old leather belt or a piece of thick leather. *Sewing Thread: * Waxed thread or strong nylon thread. *Needle and tool: * Awl or drill to make holes in the leather. *Design: * Sketch a simple knife with a blade length of 10—15 cm and a convenient handle. Also plan the vagina: It should wrap around the blade and have a flap to attach to the belt. *Preparation: * If you use a file as a leaf material, heat it to red-hot on a fire and let it cool slowly. This softens the steel for processing. Day 2: Manufacture the knife *Shape the blade: * *Roughforming: * Use a file or grinding stone to shape the contour and tip of the blade. Sharpen the edge by filing down the angles, but leave the edge slightly thick (it will be sharpened later). *Hardening the Blade: * Heat the leaf to a ruddy glow on a fire and cool it quickly in oil. Temper the blade by heating it in the oven at 200 °C for 1 hour. This makes it strong but less brittle. *Handle: * *Prepare Materials: * Cut out two sides for the handle from wood or other material. Drill holes in the material for rivets or prepare it for gluing. *Assembly: * Attach the handle with epoxy glue and rivets (if available). Let the glue dry before shaping the handle with a file or sandpaper. *End Puts: * Grind the edge with a grinding stone and polish the blade with fine sandpaper. Treat the handle with linseed oil or varnish for durability. Day 3: Fabricating the Vagina *Cut out and shape the leather: * *Measure and cut: * Place the blade on the leather and draw a contour approximately 1 cm larger than the blade around. Cut out two identical pieces. *Sew together: * Place the two pieces on top of each other and make holes along the edge with an awl or a small drill. Sew the edges together with a saddler stitch, which is strong and durable. *Fastening and Strap: * Cut out a small flap and sew or rivet it to the back of the vagina to attach to a belt. *Hone Grinding: * If the leather feels hard, you can soften it by rubbing in a little leather grease. Adjust the fit by gently shaping the leather around the knife while it is damp. Conclusion: Test and Adjustment Check that the knife fits securely in the vagina without falling out. Test the knife to make sure it is comfortable to use and works as you intended. With patience and accuracy, you will have both a knife and a sheath that are both practical and personal.

About renature - de ofärdiga varats mirakel -
Who is Mikael Åkerman? You could say the product of an unbroken lineage going back millions of years. The answer to that question naturally varies depending on who you ask, but if you ask me, I would answer a guy/man who is extremely curious and interested in other people. Some “wise” person who knows people assessed the undersigned with the letter combination E.N.F.P according to the MBTI. Whether that is good or bad, I don’t know, but I think the description is relatively accurate. A little holiday chat from the undersigned: radioovik.se/mikael-akerman/ What have I done in the study of the interaction between humans, nature and technology? Made many important “mistakes” that have perhaps taught me the most Devoted about thirty years to understanding life and survival in a larger context Read “Human Nature and Technology” and “Leather Tanning and Sewing” at the Institute for Ancient Technology Read outdoor education at Linköping University Inspired and instructed others through many courses, trainings & lectures on the subject Taught jungle survival in Malaysia, and spent time with the Urangasli (Malaysia’s indigenous people) On two occasions, did military service abroad in Bosnia and Kosovo. Been an artistic representative at the exhibition SHELTER at Örnsköldsvik Museum Visited and stayed with Bedouins in the Baharia Desert in Egypt Met extremely competent friends in a variety of interesting and important fields I am and have been quite good at copying the abilities of others, very little of what I have learned I have thought up entirely on my own. “Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from poor judgment.” The idea of this website is to highlight the important thoughts & skills that I have assessed for my/our (survival) on the conditions of nature. Hope something can inspire you. Warm regards Mikael
